What is whistleblowing?
Whistleblowing is when someone has noticed unethical, illegal or dangerous behavior in an organization and speaks up, or “blows the whistle” to report about it. As an organization, you want that report to be sent to you and not to the media.
What can be reported?
These are just examples. Basically anything that breaches the law or threatens a public interest could be reported.
- Corruption, like an employee that is giving deals to suppliers in exchange for personal benefits or to companies that are controlled by friends and family
- Theft or misuse of company property
- Dangerous work environment
- Illegal personal data processing
- Sexual harassment or discrimination
- Fraud, tax evasion, insider trading and other finacial crimes
- Environmental crimes, like dumping waste or using illegal chemicals

To put an end to the unwanted behaviour, as it is often something which harms the company.Protect its reputation.
It’s better that it’s reported to the company than to the media.

How does WhistleLog help?
We help companies to comply with the EU whistleblower directive
- Get the simple and secure reporting channels that the law requires, with all the necessary information in multiple languages.
- Allow anonymous reporting, where the whistleblower does not have to use its own email address. This is critical for making them comfortable to speak up.
- Manage the reports in a secure system, where no information is leaked.
- Get statistics and insights into which types of problems are more common and where in your organisation they occur. These can be presented to the board, shareholders or used in your sustainability reporting.
